Bean Stalk Updates!

There's a LOT, too! Let's do this.

First up, hot off the press, there's a Pictionary update: click HERE! I've gotten the stuff to add to the entries for #6, #13, #27 and #50.

As always, feel free to send me more pictures for the Pictionary. You know I'll always credit you. I need, well, anything and everything, but if you've got Marie Grace and Cecile pictures, that's even better!

Then, I've updated the sewing table with two finished projects: one and two. I don't want to take up too much space on the page, but I'll at the least put up a picture of my favorite:

Oh, and! I was sick today, and also quite a bit bored, so I sat and made Monster High icons. Here's 16 fresh icons from Season 2, Episode 27. It's the latest one, the one with Spectra. Go check them out! I'll post a few teasers:

Hey! Don't forget that you can grab super fast updates by following @beanstalktweets! I always try to follow you back.

New Feature!

I've got a new site that you all should totally check out today:

Cherished Playtime

True fact, when I first started The Bean Stalk up, I modeled it after this place. There are plenty of crafts to keep you occupied, and you might go have a look at her C-Box on the front page to see what other people are saying. The bulk of the site takes you through Star Valley. You can meet the residents, see Susie's blog, and check out the Jessica McConnell Show, the first ever talk show for dolls.

If you're needing more Cherished Playtime, check it out on Facebook or Twitter.

Hey, Cherished Playtime! Feel free to put this on your site. If you'd like back to the Bean Stalk, that would be nice of you too:

Photo: Off On Vacation!

I forgot to post this. Technically, we just got back, but:

This was taken for the AG Over 18 photo challenge. It's my dolls, packing up to go on vacation! We're going to a nerd convention, hence the outfits.

AG Places Do Online Reservations -- I Never Knew!

I may or may not be the last person on the planet to discover this, but the AG Places do online reservations!

My friends and I are taking a trip to Atlanta, and my friends were curious as to why my husband loves the AG Bistro so much. (He is seriously nuts over the food.) I almost called them to make a reservation, but when I loaded the website up, I discovered they'll take it online!

I was MOST impressed with the fact that they asked about accommodations, because we have one friend in a wheel chair and another friend allergic to eggs. They gave me a conformation number, and I took a picture with my phone just to make sure I had it.

One thing I didn't like? It was in flash, so I couldn't do it from my iPad.

... unless AG wants to go ahead and make an AG Place app ... ?

Lizziebees

My friend runs a great Etsy, and I figured I'd give her some promotion here:

http://lizziebeedesign.etsy.com/

Right now she's got a bunch of headbands up, people really seem to dig them. You can even pick out your own colors!

She's got a website if you want more info:

http://www.lizziebeedesign.com/

And don't forget to like her on Facebook or check her out on Flickr.

Hey, Lizzy! Feel free to put this on your site. If you'd like back to the Bean Stalk, that would be nice of you too:

This is where my American Girl dolls will sleep. Err, eventually.

A peek inside the closet. It's almost organized!

Doll Room Tour #1

We moved into this house, and it had an extra room, and we both immediately went, "TOYS!"

I really wanted to take you all around this place. Here's a tour of our toy room. It is very much a work in progress, so excuse the mess.

Photobucket

An immediate shot of when you enter the room. Told you it was a work in progress!

Photobucket

This shelf has all my Ellowynes. I love that dress, supernoname girl made it for me!

Photobucket

I'm trying to set up some furniture down below the shelves. Here's Kirsten's table! I got the table set in a Playthings swap. I wish I could remember who gave it all to me.

Photobucket

Up above, a scant few of my husband's Transformers.

I took a bunch of pictures, I'll show you more this weekend!

New Stuff at the Bean Stalk!

Got a new tutorial up! No pattern needed, kids. You don't happen to remember the retired Gardening Outfit, do you? eBay no more kids, because now you can make it yourself:

It's not hard at all. Come on over and check it out.

Oh, and you can see images of the completed outfit here.

September is National Sewing Month!

Like the title says! I didn't know. I gotta get on this!

Someone was asking me today for my best sewing tip. I'd say it would have to be to PRESS YOUR STUFF. Don't go hacking at it all willy nilly with your machine. Press it before you cut, press all the hems into it, and enjoy how much easier your project is.

Oh, and don't use starch.
